    HOW WHEEL OF FATE WORKS

Wheel of Fate is a decision spinner that makes group choices fair and fun. Add your options, spin the wheel, and let randomness pick the winner. Perfect for group decisions, classroom activities, and settling debates.

    01

    ADD YOUR OPTIONS

Type in your options โ€” team names, dinner choices, tasks, prizes, anything. Each option gets an equal-sized slice of the wheel regardless of the order you enter them.

    02

    SPIN THE WHEEL

Click Spin to start the wheel. It decelerates with physics-based easing and stops at a random position. The winning slice is highlighted with a sound cue.

    03

    FAIR PROBABILITY

Every slice has exactly equal probability of winning. The spin speed and starting position are randomized each time, making it impossible to predict or game the outcome.

    04

    REMOVE WINNERS & RESPIN

After a result, you can remove the winning option from the wheel and respin for second place. This is useful for rankings, prize draws, or elimination-style decisions.

    05

    SAVE YOUR OPTIONS

Your custom wheel options are saved in your browser so they're still there next time you visit. No account or sign-in needed.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Is the wheel truly random?

Yes โ€” both the initial spin speed and the stopping position use cryptographic randomness. The deceleration animation is purely visual; the winning slice is determined before the animation begins.

How many options can I add?

The wheel supports up to 24 options before slices become too small to read comfortably. For larger groups, consider using the custom list picker instead.

Can I use this for classroom activities?

Absolutely โ€” it's great for calling on students, assigning topics, or randomizing group selections. The visual spin adds engagement that a simple random number doesn't.

    Are my options stored anywhere?

Options are stored only in your browser's localStorage. They are never sent to a server and are deleted if you clear your browser data.
